Women's History Month highlight of Michelle Hewitt

Michelle Hewitt serves as our Board Chair and she is a former public school principal. She is extremely passionate about the Canada Disability Benefit, and she views it as the first step to improving the financial situation for Canadians with disabilities. She also volunteers on a number of local and provincial disability committees as she is very dedicated to helping other people.

Michelle earned a PhD from the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus. Her research focused on young adults with disabilities who don't have any other options except to live in long-term care institutions.

Her expertise, knowledge, and experience are valuable to our cause of ending disability poverty.
